KEA’s Employee and Director Service Awards

It is always a tremendous honor to recognize our employees and directors as they achieve length of service milestones.  We recognized eleven employees and two directors  for length of service at KEA’s Annual Membership Meeting on Monday, April 30.  Thank you for your efforts to “keep the lights on”!

Employee Service Awards:

5 Years:     Glen Floyd, Maintenance Operator – Terror Lake

20 Years:    Ronald Sternberg, Chief Electrician/Operator

Director Service Awards:

5 Years:       Jay Johnston, Director

15 Years:    Cliff Davidson, Chairman

In addition, President/CEO Darron Scott presented two special department awards.  On behalf of the Operations Department, Dean Wise accepted the award in recognition of the Operations crews’ efforts to restore power to Chiniak, Pasagshak and Port Lions after a particularly brutal February ice storm.  On behalf of the Power Generation Department, Ron Sternberg accepted the award for their ingenious solution to the problem of a leaking pipe deep within the Terror Lake dam.
