Phase II of KEA’s Pillar Mountain Wind Farm was highlighted in a newscast by Ted Land on KTUU Channel 2 News yesterday, with excerpts from an interview with President/CEO Darron Scott. KEA received accolades as “one of the most renewable-powered communities in Alaska, thanks to its new turbines and an existing hydroelectric dam”.
The newscast also covered progress in Anchorage by CIRI, the native corporation building the 11-wind turbine project on Fire Island. CIRI will sell power to Chugach Electric Association to power their mainland cooperative’s homes and businesses.
