Turbine Bases Transported Safely Through Kodiak

The first of 20 large loads of our turbine components headed from Lash Dock to Pillar Mountain this morning, moving like a gentle giant amongst the every day car, truck, and pedestrian traffic.  Follow our progress in these pictures of a base component  on a special trailer transported through Kodiak and escorted by a safety convoy.  The base component weighs 126,766 pounds, is 73.2 feet in length, and has a 15 foot base diameter and a 14.1 foot top diameter.  The moving process will continue with all component parts and we’ll move foward with the process to erect the turbine towers.
